Ode to its Master
Author: bernard young
Filed in: love, master, happiness, odeHow does it love its MASTER
Let it count the ways;
it desires to see SIR'S smile
Each and every day.
SIR'S smile brings joyful tears
To this very grateful soul;
What’s pleasing to its MASTER
Is its most important role.
It longs to feel SIR'S warm caress
And to please SIR in every way;
SIR'S smile is so contagious
It certainly lights its day.
To please SIR is to know SIR
SIR knows its thoughts and needs
SIR protects, guides its every step
In spirit, word and deed.
Brand it, love it, shave it
Do with it as SIR pleases;
SIR'S passion, devotion
Places it at ease.
How will it please its MASTER
With every breath it takes;
it will make a solemn vow
Which it will not forsake.
Oh, how does it love its MASTER
What more is there to say;
Time will only prove it so
With each and every day.
So if SIR will one day consider it
SIR'S property or slave;
it will serve SIR diligently, faithfully
From now until its grave.
Hasn’t it revealed its feelings yet
it wishes the world to know;
it cherishes, loves its MASTER...
No if’s, and’s, but’s or so.
Oh, how it does love its MASTER
Hear it shout for joy;
To hear SIR call its name each day;
To hear SIR utter “boy.”
